Born in Philadelphia, Pa; author, minister, bible content creator, Theresa Lightfoot Houston, is a gifted, inspirational, humorous writer and speaker, committed to sharing the message of hope, love and encouragement around the world. Her first book: “Mama Said, Get in the House, (Embracing the Wisdom of Mama and God)” released in February of 2000, and her 7th book, “Celebrating a Woman with Nothing to Lose” released in February of 2023.
She founded Encourage Your World, LLC, a business entity with a ministry mandate. The business focuses on creating bible studies, books, podcast, audio and social media content that encourages, uplifts and supports those looking for God-centered content that ignites them to pursue their divine destiny.
She was born into a long lineage of pastors and preachers and ultimately answered the call to ministry herself in 1993. Theresa holds a dual master's degree from Webster University. Her message and her ministry have taken her around the world. She is determined to get the message of Christ into any and all forms of available media until HIS word saturates the entire body of Christ.
She is God’s woman, seeking to serve God’s people, God’s way.
